Who is it for?

To be awarded the Oxford Brookes BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting you must:

  • Pass all ACCA Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams – including (FR), (AA) and (FM).
  • Be up-to-date with the payment of your ACCA subscription fees
    Demonstrate currency of knowledge by either:
    passing your RAP within 10 years of the earliest of: the date of your first ACCA examination pass, or the date of your first ACCA exemption being granted or passing 3 ACCA examinations (either Applied Skills or Strategic Professional) within 5 years of submission of your RAP or being a full member of ACCA of good standing (that is have an up-to-date CPD record)

My story with Kaplan started about a year ago now, after trying lots of training centers, online platforms with no value for money, my last refuge was to try Kaplan on-demand, as all the other training providers I had tried were using Kaplan’s study materials. Well, it was worth it. I not only cleared the papers on first attempts, also the level of execution of the tutorial, the professionalism of the tutors and the value for money that Kaplan is offering is excellent. Of course, when it came to OBU, I couldn’t think of any other provider than Kaplan. My OBU mentor was always a step ahead when it came to the content of the project, she knew what worked and what didn’t, her feedback was always valuable and her knowledge of the requirements was phenomenal.

I chose Kaplan because the classes were starting well in advance, which ensured that I got enough time to research my project, and also because Kaplan offers 6 classes which made the mentorship program well spread. My OBU trainer has been helpful and supportive as she provided one-on-one sessions to which helped in improving the quality of the project, she also supported me by being available on WhatsApp to respond to my doubts and gave examples on how to pursue the project, which increases clarity. My advice to aspiring OBU candidates is to not feel worried about the word count or referencing. All these topics will be covered by the mentor.
