About the client:
The client is one of the region’s leading Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority that is driving its transformation strategy towards a core mandate to drive and own the national data and AI agenda to help achieve national vision goals and the respective country’s highest potential. To fulfill this mandate of theirs, they wished to create a data-driven and AI-supported government as well as an economy.

What was the client’s business challenge?
The main challenge faced by the organization was the lack of sound knowledge in the arena of programming languages and software programming tools. They wanted to ensure that all barriers that were preventing their organisation’s unprecedented growth were eliminated and their employees were equipped with sufficient skills training.

Therefore, the client wanted a learning solution that would:
• Deliver 12 software programming boot camps in 5 specific programming languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, Swift and Kotlin.
• Each of these boot camps was scheduled to be 12-weeks long in duration and was targeted at about 300 candidates who were at a beginner level in these above-listed programming languages.

The aim of this boot camp delivery was to equip the candidates with adequate knowledge in the area of programming and build their skills from the grassroots level since they were at the beginner stage of learning

What solutions did Kaplan Professional ME provide?
We developed a bespoke 12-week program that was designed to take the beginner-level candidates through an immersive and intensive learning journey enabling them to develop from a sound foundation of software engineering principles to an intermediate level of knowledge in the specific language of that boot camp.

How did Kaplan Professional ME develop the solution?
The course was structured to contain lecture material, individual/group lab exercises and project assignments, typically concluding with a capstone project to be delivered as part of an overall assessment in the final week.

What was the impact of the programme?
Kaplan’s ability to work efficiently and develop content well before time ensured that the learning materials and content were made available for review 3 weeks before the start of the corresponding boot camp. We ensured the training was delivered in an engaging way by diversifying our facilitators and having our experts deliver on their specialty subject through a series of activities and case studies bringing new energy and high levels of interaction.

Which aspects were appreciated by the client?
Kaplan’s program delivery also included regular performance feedback to be provided in a summary report format for all participating candidates. Meanwhile, regular trainer feedback on their performance was also maintained and collected from students at predefined points for reporting to all stakeholders.
