About the client:
Our client is a regional government transport authority established over 17 years ago to help plan and implement the requirements of the transport, roads, and traffic in the respective country, between the various parts of the country, and the neighbouring countries with the aim of providing an efficient and integrated transport system to achieve the nation’s vision and its vital interests.

What business challenge were they experiencing?
The client wanted its employees to be trained within the governmental accounting sector and to have the desired skillset in accountancy as per the requirements and regulations of the IPSAS (International Public Sector Accounting Standards).

What did Kaplan Professional ME offer the client?
Kaplan Professional developed a week-long training program for 4 learning cohorts that was aimed at preparing the candidates for the IPSAS certification awarded by the ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants).

For this, Kaplan’s team prepared world-class in-house content that was to be delivered in the classroom training format followed by extensive training preparation and delivery. On the final day of the training program, the candidates were required to attempt a mock exam that would receive a rigorous review by the trainer and the qualifying candidates would then proceed to attempt the ACCA’s IPSAS exam and receive the certification.

Which aspects were appreciated by the client?
The participating candidates and the client organization found the course to be structured well for easy comprehension. They especially focused on the exam-focused study material that was made available to the candidates and the responsiveness of the course trainer. Most delegates reported a significant learning curve in the three key areas of professionalism in finance, time management, and the crucial regulations in the government sector.
